THE BAND
GEOFF THOMAS
A former member of The Voodos who recorded `Little Brenda` for the legendary record producer Joe Meek, Geoff has appeared with many star names including Gerry Marsden, Chubby Checker, The Supremes and Frank Carson. Having worked solo for many years in holiday camps and clubs, Geoff formed the UK's premier sixties fun band Fat Old Dad in the 1980s. In 2014 Geoff was asked to be the lead singer for The Honeycombs on their 50th anniversary theatre tour of `Have I the right` which reached No 1 in 1964.
MARTIN DONALD
Martin has been active in several areas of music for many years, including radio, television, theatre and writing. He has been musical director to The Drifters, The Platters, Jimmy Ruffin and Freddie Starr and worked in many diverse situations, travelling the world with his undoubted musical talent and appearing with artistes such as Tom Jones and Jools Holland. Martin also taught guitar to X Factor winner Matt Cardle!
ALLAN GIFFORD
An experienced drummer and percussionist Allan has played a variety of styles of music including rock & pop, orchestral, marching band, big band, ceilidh, theatre, and blues.
Allan has played in concert halls, theatres and many quality venues across Europe, including the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall in London. Allan is also a member of 60s band The Honeycombs and played on its acclaimed 2016 album ‘304 Holloway Road Revisited’.
SIMON ROWNES
Simon's first professional work was with a Rock 'n' Roll trio called the Rockabilly Rebels, touring throughout the UK. He later played with a number of original bands including The Human Zoo, playing the London club scene. Simon studied bass at BassTech in London and took private lessons with Joe Hubbard. He also operates his own music studio.
